MEDAL – The International Mediation Services Alliance is the alliance of leading international commercial mediation and conflict management service providers.

The aim of the new Alliance is to meet the needs of the international business and legal communities by providing them with the highest quality commercial mediation and conflict management services to assist in the resolution of disputes wherever they may occur.

MEDAL members intend to work together on cross-border disputes and initiatives, and will also co-operate on individual client assignments requiring a multinational and multi-lingual approach, including offering co-mediation teams to help resolve complex disputes.

MEDAL members share the same principles of ethics with respect to the conduct of mediation services. We have also agreed to adopt a common set of international mediation rules designed to provide clients with a consistent and straightforward approach to the settlement of international disputes.

We will be jointly promoting and conducting international seminars, conferences and other events to raise awareness of the importance of quality in dispute resolution, and establishing common platforms for regulatory lobbying.
